Whether you’re an individual, a small business or the marketing team for a large company, the design process is much the same.
First, you’ll send me your brief (or we’ll have a chat that I can use to work up a brief). This involves working out what the deliverables and formats are, the timeframe, and providing any assets to me such as your logo or brand guidelines.
Next, I’ll either provide an estimate, or if we’ve worked together before and you’re happy for me to proceed, I’ll get going on a first draft or concept draft. If we’re laying out a book or report, this may involve laying out just a few pages at first to get a sense of the overall style.
We’ll go back and forth with feedback and changes until you’re happy. I don’t have a limit on rounds of feedback – I want you to be satisfied with the final product, whatever it takes to get there. If the feedback starts to exceed the quoted cost, I’ll give you as much warning as possible.
Finally, we’ll export your final files. They’ll be yours to use however you wish. I keep the editable files securely stored for future use or new versions.
